The BJP is riding high on its recent success in the Telangana MLC elections, where it secured two out of three seats, sending shockwaves to the Congress and BRS. This victory has boosted the party’s morale and signalled its growing influence in the state. The BJP’s well-planned strategy and focused campaigning paid off, and the party is now gearing up to replicate this success in upcoming local body elections.
Senior leaders, including National General Secretary Sunil Bansal, held a meeting with state leaders, including Kishan Reddy, to discuss the roadmap for future elections. They emphasized the need to maintain the same level of dedication and planning to achieve similar results in local body polls, including ZPTC, MPTC, and sarpanch elections. The leaders believe that the BJP is emerging as a strong alternative to the Congress in Telangana, and the MLC results have further solidified this perception.
Kishan Reddy, the state BJP chief, expressed confidence that the party will come to power in Telangana through the “One Nation, One Election” initiative, which is expected to take place in the next three and a half years. He reiterated that the BJP is in no rush but is working systematically to strengthen its base and connect with the people.
The party is also forming a state-level committee to strategize for future elections. With a clear focus on grassroots-level engagement and meticulous planning, the BJP aims to continue its upward trajectory in Telangana, aiming for a “double-engine” government in the near future.
