Finally, Dil Raju has managed to find a distributor to release his upcoming movie ‘Supreme’. Leading overseas distributor Bluesky cinemas has acquired rights to this movie. Dil Raju has been looking for a buyer for a while and finally Bluesky Cinemas secured the rights.
Dil Raju has been quoting 1.5c for overseas rights. Since all the previous Dil Raju films did poorly in US, no buyers were interested at that price point. Subramanyam for sale, a decent movie, collected only $140k in US. Since there are no buyers, he decided to release on his own through one of the leading overseas distribution firms. Finally, Bluesky cinemas has acquired the rights for 1c. Of this 50lakhs is guaranteed and the producer gets all the gross up to 1crore. After that Bluesky would be making 20% commission – similar to NRA model in India.
‘Anil Ravipudi’s ‘Supreme’ is going to have a grand release in the first week of May. Sai Dharam Tej and Rashi Khanna will be seen in lead roles and this is Anil Ravipudi’s second film,his debut film being the super hit ‘Pataas’.
