The makers of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s highly anticipated 151st film, a biopic on freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy have pulled off a major casting coup by roping in Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan to essay a crucial role in the film.
Reports emerged earlier that Big B was approached to essay a key role in the film but there was no confirmation on the same from makers. According to our reliable sources, Big B signed the film just yesterday, thus helping Uyyalawada become a true pan-India film. Big B’s presence will help the historical Telugu film to grab the attention of Bollywood.
It may be recalled that when Big B came to Hyderabad to promote his ‘Bbuddha Hoga Tera Baap’, a Puri Jagannath directorial, Chiranjeevi graced the promotional event. On the dais, Big B requested Chiru to make his comeback to films and he also offered to play a supporting role in the Telugu Megastar’s comeback project.
Since Khaidi No.150 had no supporting role that can justify Big B’s presence, he was not approached then. But, for Uyyalawada, which is being planned to be made as a pan-India film, makers offered a meaty role to him and succeeded in getting him on board.
Last October, Big B was all over the headlines of Telugu media when he was approached by Balakrishna Nandamuri to essay a key in his could-have-been 101st film, ‘Rythu’. Big B however softly turned down the project citing dates issue, said reports.
