Brahmani, granddaughter of NT Ramarao and wife of Nara Lokesh, took her second baby step into public life by inaugurating the free coaching classes for the poor students, who want to appear for competitive examinations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The NTR Trust Bhavan, which is sponsoring classes, chose Brahmani’s birthday for the launch of classes in Trust Bhavan. Even though they informed some journalists that she would like to interact with media as well after the inauguration of classes, the program was called off. Media was asked to leave the hall seconds after she started her interaction with the youth and students shortlisted for the coaching.
According to insiders, the media interaction had been canceled as the organizers thought she might falter while fielding the speculative political questions from the media. The sources said the response to her idea of giving coaching to the job aspirants was instant hit with students and youth. Applications had been called for through social media channels .
If the sources were to be believed about 12,000 aspirants applied for the seats in the coaching camp. A preliminary test had been conducted for them to filter the applications. About 1200 applicants had been selected for the main exam but only 890 appeared. Finally, 139 students had been selected for the coaching. Both states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana had been given equal weight age. Lodge, board and Study material will be supplied to the students, who are mostly graduates from engineering and business administration, free of cost.
Some students told ‘telugu360.com’ that Brahmani explained to the students about the commitment of Trust towards helping poor achieve their goals in life. ” She assured all possible help from the NTR Trust Bhavan to achieve our goal in education . She wished all the best to us,” the students said.
