We all know that the release of a big film means impending doom for the small films – however good they are. But it’s not often we thing about the reverse case which is happening with Brahmotsavam now. While screens are surprisingly still managing to fill up, the negative buzz around the film is giving an indirect push to theatres which are running Supreme, Bichagadu and even Sarrainodu.
While Supreme and Bichagadu will benefit most from this, especially considering both are small films being pitted against big stars, Sarrainodu’s box-office sojourn continues.
Interestingly, several theatres have decided to let go of Brahmotsavam to replace it with one of these films as they are drawing more crowd than the Mahesh Babu-starrer.
This is a big blow for Mahesh! One wonders how soon he’ll recover from this.
