The makers of Prince Mahesh Babu starrer Brahmotsavam needed police assistance to control the frenzied crowd who went berserk upon seeing the handsome actor while shooting in one of the famous ghats in the holy city, Haridwar. Scores of devotees, who came to took holy bath on the eve of Shivarathri, noticed Mahesh Babu and Samantha shooting at a close proximity and tried to get close glimpse of them.
A close source to the unit revealed that it was very difficult for them to manage the crowd and finally took assistance from the local police to bring situation under control. Some key scenes are being shot in Kasi at present. The shooting is progressing at a brisk pace and the makers are planning to release the he film in May.
Kajal Aggarwal and Pranitha Subhash are the other female leads in the film. Srikanth Addala is directing this family drama and Prasad V Potluri is producing it on PVP Cinema banner. Mickey J Meyer is scoring the soundtrack.
