Ever since Badrinath (2011), Allu Arjun has been working with only top league directors. Although he has a good success percentage at box office in the last 5-6 years, he has been criticized for playing safe game, allegedly with the aim of emerging as one of the top stars of Telugu cinema. Well, as he has reached the Top 6, now it seems he is willing to take risks.
Bunny is now in discussions with talented director Vi Anand. Soon after this young director’s ‘Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada’ became a critical and commercial hit, the Allu camp booked him for two movies, one each with Sirish and Bunny. Anand is currently directing Sirish in a yet-to-be-titled film. Allu Aravind has already given advance to him for Bunny’s movie, and he was asked to take his sweet time but must come up with a commercial subject based on an out of the box concept.
After working with big league directors, the ‘Sarrainodu’ star wanted to work with a mid-range talented director who can weave a commercial story around an unorthodox subject. And, he found Anand to be the most worthy person to do the job, after watching the director’s EPC. Anand has already pitched a few lines to Bunny, and a call will be taken after the release of his film with Sirish.
Allu Arjun is currently acting in debutante Vakkantham Vamsi’s ‘Naa Peru Surya’. Although Vamsi is being called a debutante, he has been in the industry for more than a decade and has penned several big films. Bunny has committed to work with Tamil director Lingusamy next.
