Most surveys are predicting victory of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi except the C-VOTER survey. The Centre for Voting Opinions and Trends is forecasting a win for Mahakutami which may form the government with a simple majority.
The C-VOTER did the survey for ABP News and Republic TV. The survey says that Congress-TDP allies will win upto 64 seats out of the total 119 in Telangana assembly. The TRS may trail behind with 42 seats. BJP may end up with just 4 seats. The remaining 9 seats will go to independents and others.
The survey says Mahakutami will get 33.9 per cent vote while TRS will get 29.4 per cent. The magic figure to form government is 60, which means Mahakutami may win with a slender majority if it gets 64 seats.
TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao is the the overall hot favourite for CM post. This is despite Mahakutami getting better score over TRS. Among Congress leaders, Jana Reddy and Revant Reddy were named as hot favourites.
The survey has predicted Congress victory in Rajasthan while there will be a tight contest in Madhya Pradesh. In Chattisgarh, the BJP has greater chances to win the poll. Congress may face electoral reverses in Mizoram.
The Congress may eventually get an upper hand in Madhya Pradesh.
