Hyderabad: The just concluded five-day Sahasra Maha Chandi yagam has boosted positive spirit for not only Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekhara Rao, but also for the party cadres. KCR is said to have decided to perform Rajashyamala yagam at New Delhi to seek the Goddess’ blessings for his mission Federal Front. Before this, KCR may take up Cabinet expansion as early as possible.
KCR briefed Governor during ‘At Home’ function held at Raj Bhavan on the occasion of 70th Republic Day celebration on Saturday, about his Cabinet expansion plan. The appointment of MLCs in the Governor’s quota will also be taken up. Once the Election Commission notifies about the vacant MLC positions, the TRS government will propose its list of candidates for the approval.
Back to Rajashyamala Yagam, KCR is planning to perform during the last week of February in the national capital by Visakha Saradapeetham Seer Swamy Swaroopanandendra. KCR is aiming to bring all the regional parties without BJP and Congress involvement onto a common platform called Federal Front.
“KCR is keen on making mission Federal Front a successful initiative across the country and for its success only, the TRS supremo is planning for Rajashyamala Yagam at New Delhi,” said a senior party leader. It may be recalled that popular Vijayanagara king Srikrishnadevaraya had performed Rajashyamala yagam and KCR is revisiting the past glory, he said.
The Yagam seems to be delivering the positive results for the TRS government as union ministry for environment and forests announced the approvals for Palamuru-Rangareddy irrigation project. Interestingly, the announcement came on the ‘Poornahuti ritual of Sahasra Maha Chandi Yagam’ on Friday.
It may be recalled that KCR amidst yagam made it a point to attend marriage function of central minister Harshavardhan in New Delhi and same night flew back. Apparently, Harshavardhan is union minister for environment and forests.
Further, KCR received another dose of good news as well. It was Samajwadi Party president and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, who informed KCR about his trip to Hyderabad. The talks between KCR and Akhilesh Yadav will no doubt further strengthen mission Federal Front.
