The YSRCP sees the ‘Call Money Scandal’ a potential issue to nail the ruling TDP in the ensuing winter session of the state assembly scheduled to being from December 17. Vijayawada: The YSRCP has all set to take on the TDP in the ensuing winter session of the state assembly from December 17 on the ‘Call Money Scandal’.
The scandal broke out just four days ahead of the assembly session has put the ruling party in an embarrassing possession and on sticky wicket. Alleging the hand of those closer to the ruling party, and some of the peoples representatives trying to save those involved in the crime, the YSRCP has announced its decision to corner the TDP on the floor of the house.
The ‘Call Money Scandal’ is reportedly being operated by two persons extending huge amounts as loans to the women and then mounting pressure on them to repay. Those who can not pay were alleged to have been forced into flesh trade, and to entertain bigwigs.
The whole issue has come out following two persons lodging a complain with the Vijayawada Police Commissionerate about how they have been harassed a group of men involved in this. However, the YSRCP leaders stepped up their ante against the ruling party, alleging that the police are being pressurized to hush up the modus operandi of the crime. The TDP leaders including some in the high offices have been asking the police only to confine the issue related to extending the loans, and not beyond. What made the YSRCP to see it as a potential issue was that leaders within the district TDP were turnout to the a divided lot, while some demanding to investigate the whole incident and punish the guilty, few others were trying to scuttle the process of investigations, the YSRCP leaders from the district are point out.
