Dhruva million mark

Ram Charan’s latest offering Dhruva opened to superb reports all over, but the revenues are not as par with the expectations. After a decent opening day in Telugu states, the Surender Reddy directional has maintained strength at the box office and registered good collections on Saturday. But, trade circles are a little disappointed with the collections. Though there is no competition from other films, Dhruva collections have been effected by the demonetization effect. The film managed to collect 10.57 Crores on its opening day in Telugu states.

In overseas, Dhruva had a good first day with $ 466K( including premiers). After collecting $ 221K on premiers, Dhruva managed a similar run today with a promising $245K, taking the total close to half a million mark. Now, all eyes are on Saturday and Sunday. The collections should be a notch higher than Friday for the film to touch the magic Million mark. As the film has all elements to woo overseas audience, it should comfortably touch the break even mark. Young heroes like Nikhil, Ram, Nithiin who don’t have strong image and star status made the million mark look very easy.

Also, low budget films like Pelli Choopulu fared exceptionally well in overseas. So, it is imperative that Charan proves his stamina in overseas and Dhruva has arrived at the right time . Well, we need to wait and see if Dhruva is the answer for all those who are questioning Charan’s overseas stamina.
