The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Authority (CRDA) released the Draft Perspective Plan for Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Area, covering 57 mandals from Guntur and Krishna districts. All kinds of development that take place in the area till the year 2050 will be guided by this perspective plan.
Vijayawada : The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) notified a Draft Perspective Plan for the region. People are asked to give their suggestions, changes and register their objections within 30 days, from the date of notification of the Draft Perspective Plan.
In its notification issued late night, APCRDA public notification said, “Perspective plan is a long-term strategic plan providing the goals, policies, strategies and general programs of socio-economic development of the capital region in line with the policies of the government, and includes plans for land use, infrastructure, transportation and socio-economic development prepared for the whole of the capital region that guide the development and is revised every 10 years.”
Further, there are 12 urban local bodies and 953 revenue villages in the APCRDA region. To give a future direction for planned development of the region, draft policy guidelines are prepared. Accordingly, the future development in the area will be governed by relevant government orders, Land uses, Zoning regulations, Building Bye Laws and other related plans covered by approved Master Plan / Zonal Development Plans and other Development Plans shall prevail.

The entire region is being classified into six zones and rules and regulations are prescribed on how the land in the 57 mandals from Guntur and Krishna districts under the APCRDA region should be used under each zone. They are:
