Oppositions leader Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has been constantly demanding CBI enquiry for Tuni arson, AgriGold scam and even today for the SSC question paper leakage scam. If not for the ruling party, the CBI seems to have heeded to his requests. Subsequently they just dropped a bombshell on him in the Dispropotionate Assets case.
The CBI officials have filed a petition in the CBI Court requesting the cancellation of bail to Jagan in connection with the DA case. In the petition filed the CBI said that the accused has violated the terms of the bail and was trying to influence the witnesses in the case.
They seemed to have cited the example of the interview of Former Chief Secratary RamaKanth Reddy which was conducted by Jagan owned Sakshi media. CBI quoted that the interview appeared to be influencing the case.
Ramakanth who was the CS during YSR regime, apparently informed the then JD, Laxminarayana that these cases against Jagan are muffled and will not have a chance to stand. The CS went further and said that the CBI members are not familiar with their rules and that he doesn’t trust their investigation.
The CBI court accepted the petition gave Jagan time till April 7th to file a counter.
