TDP President Chandrababu Naidu addressed Telangana TDP members in a special meeting held at NTR Bhavan in Hyderabad. Speaking at the meeting, Chandrababu Naidu cleared the air over merging T-TDP with another party in Telangana.
‘Will not merge T-TDP with any other party. No one has right or freedom to make comments on merging the party. The party cadre should remember for the party’s well being, we might go into an alliance with other parties. Leaders for various party posts will be soon allotted by the high command. The party is at no loss with key leaders leaving the party,’ said Chandrababu Naidu.
Along with Chandrababu Naidu, Politburo and Central Committee Members took part in the meeting.
While this hinted at T-TDP’s probably alliance with TRS, Chandrababu’s comments during the press meet further strengthened the speculation. The AP CM said, ‘Congress has deceived us, while BJP chose to leave us. We need to go in an alliance with other parties to survive and fight for the people of the state’.
This left enough scope for a probable TDP – TRS alliance (in Telangana) for the 2019 Telangana Assembly Elections.
