BJP National President Amit Shah’s visit to north coastal Andhra Pradesh raised political temperatures to a new high. Shah said AP CM Chandrababu Naidu became popular as a U-Turn Chief Minister in the national politics because of his changed alliances and policies. Shah recalled how CBN suddenly shifted his stand and started supporting the Congress. Naidu is also known for his track record of getting elected MLA on Congress ticket but later immediately joined NTR’s party only to grab it eventually.
Shah accused the TDP leaders of launching a venomous anti-BJP campaign through misinformation among the public. His speech was translated by Rajya Sabha MP GVL Narasimha Rao. Speaking in Hindi, Shah said it is the Modi government which has provided thousands of crores of funds for Polavaram project and central institutions in AP.
Shah asserted the BJP government at the Centre did everything possible to fulfill the promises made to AP but the rival parties are unnecessarily levelling baseless allegations against PM Modi. He further said the TDP and the YSR Congress Party are both the family-driven parties which are merely interested in promotion of their dynastic politics. He appealed to AP people to support the BJP as it could only take care of its larger developmental goals in future.
