After coming into power, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu vowed that he would work relentlessly to make Andhra Pradesh a ‘smart’ state, by transforming cities like Vishakhapatnam and Vijayawada into financial hubs. Parallelly, the AP CM also promised that he would soon transform Amaravati, AP’s capital, into Cyberavati. Though it might have sounded funny for many, the CM made us believe that Cyberavati will not be a dream, but a reality.
And now, the CM changes his mind and plans to make Andhra Pradesh an automobile hub. One can argue that both are two different things, and nowhere related. But the fact is that AP IT Minister Nara Lokesh ambitious plans about Cyberavati are just a mere dream.
Similarly, with Special Category Status in the hanging, and with no tech giants’ coming forward to establish their manufacturing unit, the dream of turning AP into an automobile hub is dark and gloomy.
Except for the KIA Motors $1.1 Billion manufacturing plant in Ananthapur that state hasn’t seen any automobile giant coming forward with commitment. The Chief Minister inaugurated the Frame Installation at the KIA Motors manufacturing plant at Penugonda Mandal, Ananthapur district.
