After a long wait, Telugu Desham Party has finally named the candidate for Nandyal by poll elections. As expected the chance is given to Bhuma’s family member Bhuma Brahamananda Reddy. The seat felt vacant after the untimely demise of Bhuma Nagi Reddy in February.
Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya Reddy who lobbied hard for cousin Brahmananda Reddy, has been already commenced campaigning in the constituency. Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishnamurthy said that no other name camp up for consideration so consequently, the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu himself announced Brahmananda Reddy’s name.
Following the defection of Silpa Mohan Reddy from TDP to YSRCP, Chief Minister on Saturday after reviewing the situation in the constituency, took the decision in favour of Bhuma’s family.
Krishnamurthy said that the party has seen the functioning Mohan Reddy in the past as minister, so they know how to face him in by-election. He also clarified that AV Subba Reddy attended the meeting with the CM and assured to work with Bhuma family and asserted that he would not be going against the party.
He reiterated that Mohan Reddy’s exit from the party would not cause any damage to the party.
