Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s rectified his comment that the state is number one in corruption and development in the entire country. He said, “I actually wanted to say that the state is top in the country in eliminating corruption and in development. But, due to a slip of the tongue, I said Andhra Pradesh ranked first in the country in corruption as well as development”.
The TDP leader requested the Speaker to correct his statement in the House records. The Chief Minister clarifying his mistake said he was frustrated and irritable and had erroneously made the statement.
The YCP leaders in the assembly surrounded the Speaker’s podium, and shouting, “Naidu is number one in corruption.” The CM forewarned the opposition leaders that their hooligan attitude will not be tolerated. He even challenged the opposition for a debate on corruption. The opposition leaders were on their feet every other moment surrounding speaker’s podium. The house was adjourned a couple of times in the day.
