TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu won with a majority of around 30,000 votes in Kuppam assembly segment. This is less than half of what TDP leaders projected for Naidu victory. The TDP is stunned at the reduced majority of the party president.

Naidu has put a lot of effort into the development of Kuppam. All villages have cement roads and drinking water supply schemes. The welfare schemes have also been implemented with full benefits passed on to the people. Based on this, TDP expected above 70,000 majority in Kuppam. It’s surprising for the TDP that the YCP got good results in Godavari districts as well.
