The Parliament session is going to start amid rival parties’ preparations for next election. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has decided to hold his ‘Deeksha’ in Delhi to bring greater pressure on the Modi government. The TDP MPs are preparing to step up their fight against injustice done to Andhra Pradesh with regard to state bifurcation promises. Naidu asked his MPs to intensify their struggle over stopping of funds to AP by the Centre.
During a TDP Parliamentary Party meeting, Naidu instructed the MPs to distribute the reports of Pawan Kalyan and Jayaprakash Narayan during Parliament session. Based on the reports, the Modi government should have to provide Rs. 1.16 lakh crore funds to meet the reconstruction activities of AP after it was unjustly separated from Hyderabad capital city. The Centre had also stopped Rs. 750 crore funds due to backward regions assistance in the last two years.
Naidu said the State government is developing on its own the Kadapa steel plant to create employment opportunities in Rayalaseema region though the BJP government is not doing anything. Similarly, a multi-crore petrochemical complex is also being developed at Kakinada to meet the aspirations of local people. Naidu said the Centre’s indifference towards AP’s needs should be highlighted.
