Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu has axed nine rebel candidates. Expressing anger over indiscipline of nine candidates who went beyond party’s decision to contest on their own in forthcoming elections.
Phanishwari in Rampachodavaram, K Srinivasa Rao in Gajapathinagaram, Khantamaneni Ravisankar in Avanigadda, M Madhava Reddy and N Vishwanatha Reddy in Tambalapalli, Bommanacheruvu Sriramulu in Madanapalli, N Vijayajyothi in Budhwel, A Rajagopal in Kadapa, and Sarva Srinivasa Rao in Tatikonda have been suspended from TDP.
“Discipline is core strength of TDP and I also abide by it. Despite several problems, we’re committed and working for the development of Andhra Pradesh. As long as TDP has the support of Andhras, I continue to work for the state. TDP has completed 37 years and the legend NTR remains in the hearts of Telugu people forever. NTR had set up TDP for the cause of self-respect of Telugu people. TDP is constructing houses for poor and these houses are on par with gated communities,” said Naidu.
Naidu has further assured voters that Amaravati will surpass Hyderabad in next five years. Amaravati capital city will become one of the top global cities in the world.
“In my political career, I have ensured co-ordination and harmony among political rivals. For instance, Kotla and KE families, Paritala and JC family and Adinarayana Reddy and Ramasubba Reddy have been working together because of my effort. Backward classes have always been core strength of TDP. We’re planning set up an exclusive bank for backward classes with a corpus fund of Rs 10,000 crore,” maintained Naidu.
