Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday wished to see that VIT campus in Amaravati would find top place among all its campuses in terms of the parameters – sincerity, integrity and quality education. He was addressing people after laying foundation stone for Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) which is coming up in a sprawling 100 acres at Inavolu village in Thullur mandal in Amaravati.
The first greenfield university in the capital region, the VIT campus is likely to commence classes from the next academic year of 2017. Keeping the public glued to his speech, Naidu went on to say that he urged the VIT university to make the Amaravati campus the best in the country. The AP CM hailed the VIT varsity vice-chancellor Viswanathan for setting foot in the new capital with a view to impart quality education to students. He further reiterated that the State would become the best ‘Knowlegde Centre’ by providing quality education by the coming year.
Later, Naidu boasted the decisions had taken by giving permissions for software technology companies in Hyderabad. As a result, the Hi-Tech City came into being providing jobs aplenty to the youth.
Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu, several AP Ministers and senior officials were among several others who took part in the foundation stone laying ceremony.
