A strong and separate group was formed within the ruling TDP to work against Minister Jawahar in the coming elections. The rival group demands that this time TDP ticket should not be given to Jawahar as he is totally corrupt and has not taken care of the party cadres. But the Minister cleverly made his group of followers take out a rally from Kovvur to Amaravati and place their demand for giving ticket to the Minister once again.
The rival group has also taken out another rally and met with CM Chandrababu Naidu demanding that ticket should not be given to Jawahar. The rival group is led by big leaders from Kovvur town including its former municipal chairman. These incidents have become a big irritant for the TDP leadership in West Godavari district. The party is analysing whether it would be possible for Jawahar to win the election even if the rival group works against his candidature.
As it is, the political situation in Godavari districts has become highly competitive. This is because of the presence of TDP, YCP and Jana Sena as well. The respective parties are carefully selecting candidates with maximum winning chances. In such a scenario, the TDP is expected not to take a hasty decision whether to give or not to give ticket to Jawahar.
