AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu took part in May day celebrations in Amaravati capital city today. He announced a 100 per cent increase in ‘Chandranna Beema’ financial assistance to the workers soon. It means Rs 10 lakh in place of existing Rs 5 lakh. Naidu sounded ultra confident on the certain victory of the TDP. He had not spoken with this kind of an authoritative tone in the recent past in view of the prevailing election code.
It’s known that the code will be in force till May 19. Regardless of this, Naidu went ahead making the announcement on Chandranna Beema. The TDP leaders say that it’s an indirect reply to the silent propaganda by the rival YCP leaders about their winning prospects. Due to the election code, Naidu has not openly talked about the issues of governance. There’s a lot of pressure from the YCP leaders who are complaining to the Election Commission even if Naidu plans any small meeting in his capacity as the chief minister.
Naidu believes that Chandranna Beema is one of those welfare programmes that have saved the TDP in the face of all out war by the rival YCP and BJP leaders.
