Veteran director Mani Ratnam directed many yesteryear classics in his career. The ace director has been shooting for his next movie Kaatru Veliyidai which has been titled Cheliya in Telugu. Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari are the lead actors in the movie which is busy with the post-production work currently. The makers kick-started the promotions and the glimpse of the first song has been revealed out yesterday on the eve of Republic Day.

As per the latest news, the movie will hit the screens in Telugu and Tamil on April 7th all over. AR Rahman composed the music and the singles will be out one by one and a massive audio launch has been planned during March. Popular producer Dil Raju is releasing Cheliya in Telugu and Mani Ratnam bankrolled the movie on his prestigious Madras Talkies banner. The movie has been shot exclusively in Chennai, Hyderabad and Kashmir.
