Megastar Chiranjeevi has been far from cinema because of his political engagements and after a huge gap of eight years the actor is making his comeback to mainstream cinema. His comeback film is being directed by VV Vinayak and is the remake of Tamil blockbuster movie Kaththi. The movie’s shoot is progressing in Hyderabad and Ramcharan is producing the movie which has been titled as Kathilantodu. The movie has been aimed for Sankranthi release next year.
Before Kathilantodu, Chiru loved the plot of a story narrated by Puri Jagannadh. However the narration of the second half did not impress Megastar. He kept the project on hold and Puri Jagannadh got busy with other projects. Now the latest news is that Puri made many changes for the second half and narrated it to Megastar which impressed him.
He is yet to give his nod for the film which will start after Kathilantodu if everything goes fine. Puri Jagannadh even titled the film as Auto Johnny and Chiranjeevi will be projected in a mass look in the movie. We have to wait and see if Chiru approves the script. Chiranjeevi is completely focussed on Kathilantodu currently and the official announcement is yet to be out.
