His real name is Parvateesam but for those who loved Saikiran Adivi’s Kerintha he is Nookaraju. His dream of becoming an actor had finally materialised and talks about how he is being flooded with compliments eversince the film released. “No one calls me Parvateesam these days, they either address me as Nooku or Nookaraju. We went to the success meet and everyone recognised me and started screaming Nookaraju. Dil Raju is like my Guru, he guides me and told me to pick films selectively and not do anything that comes my way and plan my career properly. I seek his advice and he guides me, he said I might bag the role that Nivin Pauly did in Bangalore Days. Frankly speaking I don’t want to be a comedian, I want to do a lot of character roles. Sandeep Kishan was supposed to do my role and he complimented me that he wouldn’t have done that role as well as he did if he had taken it up. Even now I am insecure and I fear, wonder if I’ll bag another film. ” Parvateesam says Kerintha is not a new concept but the director narrated the story well. He recalls his favourite scene, “My favourite scene in Kerintha is where I scream at the heroine in the library and she gets embarrassed. I also liked the climax scene of my colleague, I didn’t expect such a rousing response for the climax scene of mine and Sukruti’s.” The actor says that in the past four years he saw many films which includes world cinema. His father who hasn’t seen a movie since decades saw Kerintha and told him to continue doing good sensible movies; he however gives credit to his friends for supporting him through his bleak period. |
