As per the call given by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the program, ” Mana Mati, Mana niiru and Mana Amaravati ” began this morning all across the state. The program has been organized in festive mood in Puttaparthy Anantapuramu district. State IT and Information minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy participated in the ceremony meant to collect the specimen soil and water from a sacred place in the villages to be sent to capital region by October 19. The water and soil has been collected from Puttaparthy in an urn amid prayers. Which will be escorted to the constituency with traditional uregimpu (procession).
The soil and water thus collected will be mixed with the soil and water at Amaravati to make Puttaparthy part of Amaravati capital. The soil and water collection from 16000 habitations will go on till October 15.
