Telugu360 was the first to break news about overseas rights of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s forthcoming film, Khaidi No 150. We reported that Classic Cinemas has acquired the rights for a whopping 13.5 Crores. The distribution house later backed out from the deal due to lukewarm response among the trade circles. Then, a long time distributor came forward, but he also dropped off because he felt that the quoted price is a little too much. Producer Ram Charan waited for some time to sell the rights at the same price, but he couldn’t find another buyer.
As the release date is fast approaching, well wishers advised Charan to close the deal as soon as possible as it will be difficult to secure theaters. With no options left, Charan has decided to sell the rights to Mythri Movie Makers for 10 Crores. Mythri is releasing the film through Classic Cinemas. Though 10 Crores is the quoted price, it is learnt that there will be some incentives for Mythri because there are producing Ram Charan’s next film with Sukumar.
Khaidi No 150 is directed by VV Vinayak and has Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead.An official remake of Tamil hit Kaththi, the film will release during Sankranthi.
