Hyderabad: Speculation is rife that senior Congress leader Devineni Nehru has been mulling to come back to his parent party – Telugu Desam Party along with his followers.
Touted to be coastal Andhra’s firebrand leader and faction hero, Devineni Rajasekhar Nehru has a firm grip over city politics of Vijayawada, Nehru is learnt to have spoken with TDP chief and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu over phone and likely to meet the latter in another two days.
Nehru’s likely joining in the TDP would be a severe blow to the Andhra Pradesh Congress as it is gradually loosing ground in the State with its core leaders bidding goodbye.
According to a trusted source from the supporters, leader Nehru’s joining in the TDP has been finalised following nod from Chandrababu Naidu.
Meanwhile, there is a rumour that senior Congress leader and former MP Undavalli Arun Kumar is all set to shift his loyalties to YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
Some leaders in the Congress party have said that Arun Kumar is highlighting himself in the media for the past two days by making comments which are in support of the opposition party – YSRCP.
It is a well known fact that Undavalli Arun Kumar has been maintaining good rapport with YS Jagan. With this, speculation is afloat that he may soon switch his loyalties to the YSRCP.
