Congress party is struggling hard to take along internal party rebels as well as Mahakutami partners side by side. Congress is facing a tough time to finalise its candidates in over 15 seats. Sources say there are two or more leaders aspiring strongly for party tickets.
TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy has to deal with this issue while also tackling the issue of seat sharing with allies. CPI has already threatened to break away. Telangana Jana Samiti President Kodandaram is also insisting on 14 seats and he has announced his party’s readiness to contest in 10 seats. The Telangana Professor has made a plea to democracy lovers and people’s organisations to intervene and convince Congress to give four more seats to TJS.
‘Match box’ has been allotted as the election symbol for TJS. There are also rumours that Kodandaram will contest from Ramagundam assembly segment.
With crucial phase of electioneering fast approaching, Congress has decided to complete seat sharing in a day or two and then tackle its internal rebel issue.
