MLA aspirants are shifting their loyalties to find winning seats based on caste calculations. This is particularly true in respect of Congress leader and industrialist Chandrasekhar Yadav. He has already prepared the ground for joining the Jana Sena Party and contest from Giddaluru segment in Prakasam district. He is making this move regardless of the fact that he has close links with AP Congress Committee President N. Raghuveera Reddy, who is an Yadav by caste.
Congress circles say Chandrasekhar is putting lot of hopes on winning Giddaluru seat this time with the help of his Yadav community vote and also the dominant Kapu caste vote bank in the segment. In 2009 elections, Chandrasekhar lost in this segment to Praja Rajya Party candidate when the Kapus voters supported Chiranjeevi’s party.
Sources say Chandrasekhar will join Jana Sena in the presence of Pawan Kalyan after his return from the US visit soon. Already consultations are completed and Chandrasekhar Yadav has completed works to hand over his building in Ongole for the district office of Jana Sena for next elections.
Chandrasekhar’s decision is considered a big blow to the Congress party in Prakasam district. Even Raghuveera could not stop Chandrasekhar Yadav from making this move considering the poor prospects he would have if he stays in Congress party in next elections.
