KCR nephew and TRS Minister T. Harish Rao is singling out AP CM Chandrababu Naidu for aggressive criticism as the election day comes closer. He hits back at CBN’s statements, saying that the Congress-TDP alliance is not a historic necessity as being said by Naidu but it is a dire necessity for Naidu himself and nobody else. The TRS minister listed out the shifting of stands by Naidu since the Gujarat riots to now when AP CM first opposed Modi, later allied with him in 2014 polls and afterwards differed to a great deal.
Harish Rao took strong objection to CPI leader Chada Venkat Reddy joining hands with Naidu after having labelled him as ‘Wold Bank jeetagadu’ (payee of World Bank) when the Left parties were arch enemies of TDP. He also criticised ballad singer Gadar for hugging Naidu after having sung songs in the past criticising Naidu’s policies bitterly before. He found fault with Naidu for talking about secularism nowadays forgetting the fact that the TDP till recently supported every action and policy of the Modi government at the centre.
On why Telangana self-respect became an issue in present election, Harish Rao said it would not have become a poll plank if the Congress party did not allow Chandrababu Naidu to poke his finger in the state politics. If there was no Prajakutami alliance, the Congress party would have contested separately while the TDP would have disappeared from the scene and then there would be no need for us to bring Telangana self-respect to the fore, Rao said.
He further said that it is already predicted TRS will win more than 90 seats getting comfortable majority and the MIM will not form part of the government under any circumstances.
