There is a long established allegation against the Congress leaders that they fight among themselves and they don’t need outside enemies to defeat them. In many places, the Congress is charged with violating the Prajakutami alliance dharma that has eventually led to humiliating defeat of the allies in Telangana polls.
Now, CPI leader and Wyra Prajakutami candidate Banoth Vijaya Bayi came out openly criticising the Congress leaders for not giving required support to her as per the alliance dharma. The CPI leaders are viewing the absence of Congress support very seriously. Out of the 19 segments won by Congress, majority segments were located in united Khammam district. The CPI leaders say they have sincerely support Congress and ensured their victory but that was not reciprocated in Wyra segment.
Vijaya Bayi accused Congress leaders of supporting independent candidate which was why she lost the election but eve then she polled over 32,000 votes. He allegations were seen with seriousness as despite united effort by top leaders, the second rung leaders of Prajakutami have done their damage to allies.
Finally, lack of effective coordination has led to Prajakutami winning just 21 seats with the Congress ending up with just 19 while the TDP won 2 seats. The Telangana Jana Samithi of Professor Kodandaram and the CPI could not win a single seat. After initial shock from landslide victory of the TRS, the leaders of Prajakutami are coming out one by one with reasons behind their failure.
