Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka is facing heat over allegations that his Ministry is pocketing huge amount of commissions for releasing pending bills, and the acrimony towards him reached to new heights on Friday.
A group of contractors held a protest inside Secretariat on Friday, protesting against Finance Ministry for making them wait to clear pending bills and collecting exorbitant amounts as commissions for releasing the same.
According to the sources from Telangana Secretariat, a group of contractors went to Secretariat to meet Deputy CM and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.
As the issue of pending bills has becoming serious, contractors representatives from across the state got together and tried to communicate their problem to Dy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.
But Security Staff has stopped contractors from reaching Finance Minister Bhatti. This has led to the ire of contractors, who held a lightening strike in front of Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka chamber. It is said that, miffed by contractors move, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has left Secretariat without meeting them.
There are widespread allegations against Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who is holding Finance Ministry, that he has been allegedly collecting 10 to 20 percent commission for clearing pending bills. Opposition leaders and several media outlets have even pointed fingers at Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka’s wife, alleging that she has been playing key role in collecting commissions.
Now a protest in the centre of Telangana Secretariat against Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka is a serious issue to ponder over.
