The Indian film industry is the most impacted by the arrival of coronavirus. The theatres across Telugu states reopened at least for four months and a bunch of films released in AP and Telangana. But the situations are worse across the North Indian circuits as the exhibitors struggled to screen films. With no notable releases, the audience showed no interest to watch movies in theatres and the exhibitors had to shut the doors for more than a year. Considering the current situation, it would take months for the theatres to reopen in the country.
Some of the states are allowing theatres to screen films with 50 percent occupancy but the producers will have to step out to release the films in theatres. Some of the analysts say that there would be releases from October though the theatres are given permission to screen movies. The exhibition industry is the most impacted because of the arrival of coronavirus. The theatre owners are staring at huge losses and it would take years to recover from these losses.
