AP Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad got shocker from special magistrate court of Karimnagar. The court ordered him to present himself before the court on 10th of this month.
It is known news that Kodela revealed in a TV channel interview that he spent around 11.5 crore rupees during 2014 Elections. A petitioner brought this to the notice of the court as violation of election commission rules. Petitioner Bhaskar Reddy also argued that, the amount spent by Kodela, 11.5 crores as he revealed in the TV interview, is way higher than the amount any MLA contestant can spend as per the norms of Election Commission.
The petitioner submitted the evidence to the court and urged the court to order for inquiry into EC norms violations as well as from where he mobilized the funds. Kodela earlier moved to high court on this and the honourable court issued stay order on this case. But the stay order expired in September and so now the court issued notices to Kodela again.
