We have already reported that renowned cinematographer Muraleedharan of ‘PK’ and ‘3 Idiots’ fame has walked out of NTR’s ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ while about fifty percent of the film is yet to be canned. Although the film’s director Bobby and producer Kalyanram Nandamuri have claimed that his replacement was a pre-agreement, the reason doesn’t look convincing.
What was the need of roping in a cinematographer knowing beforehand that he wouldn’t be available until the completion of film? Some time ago, we have informed that NTR was giving priority to Muraleedharan when he and Bobby weren’t on same page regarding certain scenes. Speculations were rife ever since the shoot commenced saying that Bobby and Muraleedharan had creative differences.
Finally, after completing about half of the film, the PK cinematographer decided to walk out. He was replaced by noted Telugu cameraman Chota K Naidu. Well, this is not the first time Bobby enforced the replacement of cinematographer. For Bobby’s debut film ‘Power’, a Ravi Teja starrer, noted cameraman Arthur A Wilson was replaced by Jayanan Vincent as Bobby had allegedly developed differences with Wilson.
On the other hand, DJ director Harish Shankar’s tweet, a couple of hours after unveiling the film’s audio teaser on Monday became a talking point in film circles. He thanked film’s cinematographer, Ayananka Bose in his tweet.
“Sir ji….. @DoP_Bose thx for the follow up for the teaser I appreciate ur efforts even though ur busy in London …. missing u,” tweeted Harish Shankar.
It may be noted that Bose has recently left DJ unit to join the team of Bollywood film ‘Judwaa 2’ starring Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu. As the shoot of DJ got delayed, Bose expressed his unwillingness in completing the film’s remaining portion since he had already committed for Judwaa 2. He is currently in London canning the Varun starrer.
