The CPM Telangana state secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram accuses that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has spent more money on publicising his double-bed room programme, after inaugurating only 500 houses in his adopted villages. Lamenting that Rao is misleading the people on the double bedroom scheme, he said by undertaking few development works in the village, he was trying to create an illusion that he was delivering on his promises.
As part of his `Mahajana Padayatra’ in Peddapur village in Peddapalli district, he cautioned that the people are aware of all the tactics of the TRS chief and would teach him a lesson in the Assembly elections.
Veerabhadram alleged that the state government was diverting the funds meant for welfare schemes to other sectors. Even the funds meant for daily workers under rural employment scheme have been diverted, he added.
The CPM leader said that the TRS government made numerous promises like jobs, land for landless Dalits and other numerous sops during elections but failed to fulfil any. He strongly protested against the government attempts to acquire fertile lands to construct airport in Peddapally.
He warned that his party would launch stir against the government if there was any such move by the government. He demanded the government to give land pattas to those who have constructed homes on Singareni lands in Godavarikhani. He demanded the government to take steps to increase the coal mining operations.
