Differences are said to be rocking among Anam brothers in Nellore district on the issue of getting MLC seat. Till know they are known as `Rama-Lakshamna’ and never comes on the way of other, having perfect understanding.
In 2006 when Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy offers cabinet berth to Vivekananda Reddy, he had politely refused stating that he would like to confine himself to Nellore politics and advised to induct his brother.
Thus he paved way for Ramanarayana Reddy to hold crucial ministries like finance, municipal administration and information and public relations. Such brothers are now said to be making hectic lobbying to become MLC on their own.
Though Vivekananda Reddy was not interested to join TDP, it was with persuasion of his brother, both of them changed their party early last year. They were promised by TDP leadership to make Vivekananda Reddy as MLC and Ramanarayana Reddy as incahrge of his Atmakur constituency, so that to give him seat in 2019 polls.
However, as now it is time for MLC polls, cracks are said to be developing among brothers. Both brothers are said to be lobbying for MLC seat without the knowledge of other one. While elder one lobbying through Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana, younger one attempting through a Nellore-based businessmen, who encouraged them to join TDP.
Vivekananda Reddy individually has met Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on February 14, reminding his promise of giving MLC seat. However, Naidu didn’t responded positively.
On the other hand, Ramanarayana Reddy has reportedly approached TDP state president K Kalavenkata Rao seeking MLC seat. When the later asked who will contest from Atmakur, he said one among his daughter or son-in-law will contest.
Vivekananda said to be was upset by knowing that his brother is also trying for MLC seat without his knowledge. However, later he refuted differences among brothers and said both of them will be happy however may become MLC.
