The Modi government at the Centre has been keeping a close watch on AP political developments. The watch was stepped up ever since CM Jagan Reddy began embarrassing the Centre on PPAs, Polavaram, etc. Following alarming reports, the Modi-Shah duo have formed a special team especially to monitor AP situation. The team has already given bad inputs on the fast deteriorating governance, communal harmony, and law and order in AP.
The BJP top brass are particularly worried about the conversions and growing grip of YCP on backward classes. The vicious misuse of SC, ST Atrocities cases is taken serious note by the Central officials. Delhi political circles say that Modi-Shah have already come to a conclusion what to do next in order to prevent further damage to Andhra. Present mood is that corrective steps may be taken against Jagan Circar in a month or two.
The Modi government is also keen to reduce the negative impact of AP government’s anti-corporate and anti-investors activities. The Centre is also taking feedback from the industrial houses and industry associations like the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Modi is also considering to reduce powers of State governments so that there will be no political harassment in future.
