Dhanush reportedly suffered injuries on his right knee and left hand during shooting of the climax of his latest movie Maari 2. As per reports, Dhanush was shooting the climax sequence with Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas, who is playing the role of main villain Maari 2. Dhanush was admitted to hospital and was advised rest.

As the rumors were rife in Tamil Nadu about the severity of injury and the status of Dhanush, he tweeted and put a full stop to the rumors, He tweeted, “My beloved dear fans … It’s not a major injury and I’m well. Thank you so much for your concern prayers and love. Im forever grateful. Love you all. My pillars of strength.”

Maari-2 shooting is in final schedule. Now the shooting has been stalled and it will only resume once Dhanush recovers.
