Dhruva overseas rights
Telugu360 was the first to break that the overseas rights of Ram Charan’s forthcoming film Dhruva were snapped by Classic Movies for a whopping 5.5 Crores. Though the film is creating a lot of anticipation among the audience, the response in the trade circles is quite lukewarm. Charan’s so-so track record in the last two years and Surender Reddy’s poor success graph are said to be the major reasons for the low hype in the trade circles.
It is now exclusively learnt that the overseas distribution rights have changed hands. Classic movies have sold the rights to another distributor who is based out in Columbus Ohio for the same price. Mythri Movie Makers, which partnered with Classic movies for this project, brokered the deal. Sources say that Classic movies have backed out after the lukewarm response among the trade circles.
Ram Charan is one hero who is yet to prove his stamina in overseas. His last film Bruce Lee has disappointed the trade big time. He will be looking to stamp authority in Overseas with Dhruva which is gearing up for December release. Rakul Preet Singh is the female lead and Allu Aravind is bankrolling the film.
