Dhruva release
Ram Charan’s forthcoming film Dhruva, which was supposed to hit the screens for Dusheera, has been scheduled to release this December. The shooting has been wrapped and the post production activities are in full swing. While everything seems to be on track for a grand release in December, producer Allu Aravind is mulling to postpone the film to February. The demonetization negativity is said to be the main reason for this. It is well known that many films have been deferred due to the backlash of less cash on the hands of public. Also, last week’s release Sahasame Swaasagaa Saagipo is badly effected due to demonetization.
According to the latest reports in popular media houses, Allu Aravind is not willing to take risk and release the film in the first week of December as the smaller denominations are not in full circulation with the public. Also, a possibility of December end release is out of the question as Dil Raju’s Nenu Local has already been confirmed to hit the screens on December 22nd. As Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No 150 is slated to release in January, Dhruva is likely to release in February. However, we have to wait for an official confirmation to get more clarity on this buzz.
Directed by Surender Reddy, Dhruva features Rakul Preet Singh and Aravind Swamy in crucial roles. The film is an official remake of Tamil blockbuster Thani Oruvan.
