Mega Powerstar Ram Charan Tej collaborated with filmmaker Surender Reddy for the Telugu remake of Tamil action flick Thani Oruvan. The undershoot film, titled Dhruva, is likely to hit the screens towards the end of the year. Aravind Swamy is reprising his role from the original and Rakul Preet Singh is the film’s heroine.
Trade circle reports say that Dhruva is going to do a staggering pre release business as distributors across the Telugu states are coming up with solid offers to acquire the rights. It is exclusively learnt that a couple of top distribution houses are vying to bag the theatrical rights in Ram Charan’s stronghold. Already, the business in some areas has been sealed for solid prices and the rest of the business is likely to be closed before the completion of the regular shooting.
Dhruva is carrying huge expectations and the team is sparing no effort to match the success of the original version. Allu Aravind is bankrolling the film on Geetha Arts and Hiphop Tamizhan is giving the tunes for the film.
