Balakrishna who is shooting in the national capital Delhi on Thursday has taken out some time from his shooting schedule to go on a whir wing tour to meet several union ministers to seek assistance for the development of his constituency.
Reiterating his hope that the Centre would keep his word on confirming special status to Andhra Pradesh, he however, justified that the delay in confirming special status to the state could be on account of many reasons. During this meeting with the Union Ministers Balakrishna asked for better road connectivity between Bangalore and Hindupur en route the famous temple town of Lepakshi. Pitching for developing a four-lane and six-lane road connectivity, Balakrishna pointed out development could take place due to the location advantage of his constituency, situated very nearer to the Bangalore International Airport.
The Hindupur MLA also demanded for taking up of doubling works of a railway line between Gooty and Yelahanka (located on the outskirts of Bangalore). However, not forgetting the key role Chennai played in the development of Telugu film industry, the actor has also promised to take up the issue of how to help the victims of floods in Chennai, along with others in the industry, and to chalk out an action plan for the same.
