Even though Dil Raju has always maintained that he would never wear Director’s hat, it is an open secret in film circles that he contributes to the story, characterizations and screenplay of all of his production ventures. The changes made by Raju to the originally penned versions by his writers and directors have most of the times worked wonders.
Now, Raju has provided substantial ideas to his upcoming production venture, Bunny’s Duvvada Jagannadham that entirely changed the tone of film’s climax. Actually, director Harish Shankar had earlier penned a heavy climax for DJ but he altered it to an entertaining one after Dil Raju suggested him to do so.
There is a powerful action sequence in the pre-climax of DJ so Raju thought that two back to back fights at the end would be too heavy hence he asked Harish Shankar to remove the climax fight and end the film on a hilarious note. It may be recalled that Dil Raju had suggested similar change to the climax of Sai Dharam Tej’s ‘Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevtham,’ and it worked.
Those, who have now seen the final copy of DJ are specifically talking about the hilarious climax. The team is confident that irrespective of how the film leads to climax, audiences will come out of theatres with big smiles on their faces, all thanks to Raju’s idea and Harish’s follow-up.
