Writer Sai Madhav Burra is being lauded for his noteworthy work in the recent releases. He is of the opinion that the audience always is open to embracing new stories and it is just that the directors are not coming up with fresh scripts. “There should be a story, it should have emotions and it should be able to carry comedy with lean. Always the audience is welcoming it is just that we are not showing them. If there are ten bad films, we select only one good film and watch. Be it Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum, Gopala Gopala, Kanche, Malli Malli Idhi Rani Raju, Raju gari gadhi..In ever felt pressure, I always got the opportunity to do different stories. It is true that if a film becomes a hit, the producers ask for the same stuff, but I feel be it new or an old story, connect ayyetattu chepithe audience choostaru. In a year..amongst 50 routine films..only 2 or 3 are running. You are talking of those 3 films but not the ones that didn’t run.”
