Recently, Bengaluru Metro Rail also allowed women passengers to carry pepper sprays on metro trains due to increased incidents of sexual assaults in the Bengaluru city.
The Telangana government has also decided to train girl students in all the schools and colleges in martial arts and self defense techniques free of cost.
The government has released Rs 1.38 crore to hold classes for three months to train girl students in self defense techniques.
