Hyderabad: TDP minister Paritala Sunitha has warned YSRCP for indulging in violence during the election campaign. Frustrated with the fear of losing elections, YSRCP has been engaged in poll violence, she said and complained to Superintendent of Police (SP) against Topudurti Prakash Reddy.
Paritala Sunitha’s son Sri Ram contested Raptadu Assembly constituency against YSRCP’s Prakash Reddy.
“People of Raptadu constituency are supporting Sriram. Sriram visited several polling stations to check whether any problems being faced by voters. Was it wrong? TDP cadres never caused any problem to Prakash Reddy during his visits to polling stations. But, YSRCP cadres and Prakash Reddy on a pre-emptive plan, resorted to creating problems and tried to attack Sriram. I call upon Prakash Reddy to leave faction-mode politics. You have a political future and don’t spoil it by factionism. Our family got rid of factionism 14 years ago. All sections of people in the constituency are living peacefully. We’re working with an objective of the welfare of society. We never caused any problem to you during your visit to Ramagiri. But, you had created ruckus during the visit of Sriram in Topudurti. Don’t consider our peaceful campaign as our inability. If you continue to do so, we’ll have to suppress this factionism,” maintained Sunitha.
She submitted a written complaint against Prakash Reddy and his brothers, to District SP GVG Asok Kumar. Later, Sunitha and Sriram along with their supporters consoled the people, who got injuries during attacks by YSRCP.
